After watching the movie “Doubt” (it was also a Play). I wanted to write this chapter on the subject. I loved the movie “Doubt” by the way. It was superbly done and has great critical acclaim. The story of Doubt has very little to do what I am about to say but I could not resist the “plug”…

Now for the concept of doubt; many New Age authors claim to have been guided or met supernatural beings. Some people lap it up while others show disdain and contempt.

What is the truth behind such outrageous claims of connecting with divine presents, channeling old souls and other New Age phenomena?

Ascended masters, or as I call them High Souls or Mahatmas, are always around us; they walk the streets and ride public transportation. It is very rare, I might add, that they would connect to mere humans while revealing their status as true Masters.

Having said this I agree with the general skepticism in regards to claims of “meeting with ascended” masters, a trend by the way still being done by new authors and self-proclaimed “sages”.

Usually the motive of such claim is the purpose of self-promotion. This whole business is Ego enlargement for the sake of monetary gain and book sales.

I simply do not know whether such claims are true or not. I try to eliminate “doubt” from my mind and vocabulary.
As I have said, the likelihood of a Mahatma revealing themselves of being a mahatma is a long shot by any measure. It is said (and by a real Guru, I might add) that if a Mahatma by circumstance somehow gets found out, he would drop everything and disappear forever.

You should always question these claims and allow your mind to be critical, but, NEVER doubt. Leave the possibility of it, no matter how remote it may be, out there. In fact since Mahatmas are all around and work in secret to keep this planet on the right course, it is plausible (although not probable) that they will ever make contact.

You see, doubt is self-destructing and it will shut out all sorts of possibilities for the beholder. Simply put, if you doubt something it will cease to be a possibility for you. To understand this concept you must go back and revisit the concept of Maya and what is “real”; this will tie in with the power of the mind and its thoughts being capable of manifesting anything.

Now you can doubt this concept immediately and it will relegate your mind and thinking to be feeble and passive. Others who believe in this might be creative and forceful in the Universe. It is entirely up to you.

Reality is very flux and hinges on your mental powers and thinking. Hence, to doubt a thing will close the curtain on the concept or idea that is being doubted. This is very lasting and often irreversible. For example, if you ever doubted the existence of UFOs and extra terrestrials, changing your mind will not reverse this and you will likely NEVER encounter them in your current incarnation.

This, by the way, explains why some people see UFO’s and others never do.

My suggestion, always question but NEVER doubt.

    • Dear Andras,

I was just listening to ch. 650 in california (armstrong&getty) and they were yammering about the gov. study on alternative medicine. Your post just rang the bell, measuring success in alternative medicine is also not accurate nor fair. Some people will have stronger faith and healing would work. But this is not the norm.
Thanks for writing this essay it is very interesting and resonated with these guys (who I disagree and sometime agree with) on the radio.
      Love,
      Eric
